How to install Melonaut

  1. Ensure you have the latest DirectX from microsoft. Windows machines are funny sometimes, if it doesn't work at first, try installing directx again from Microsoft again.
  2. Download the game with audio (80mb) or without audio.
  3. Extract the files somewhere handy.
  4. Plug two XBOX 360 controllers into your computer and find a friend to play against! (REQUIRED!)
  5. Run 48_hour_comp_2008_RELEASE.exe (fullscreen 48_hour_comp_2008_FS_RELEASE.exe is available in the version with audio)
  6. Enjoy!

How to play Melonaut

If you can't get two XBOX 360 controllers your experience is going to be drastically less enjoyable, but you can play with the keyboard.
player 1: WASD to move, Q to plant a watermelon, E to shoot,
player 2: UHJK to move, Y to plant a watermelon, I to shoot.
